The community of Valencia, a historic power in tourism
Location: The autonomous community of Valencia is located on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian peninsula, particularly in the East where it borders to the North with Catalonia, South with Murcia and in the inland area with Castilla La Mancha and Aragon. The current territory coincides largely with what was the old Kingdom of Valencia.
Municipalities: Consisting of more than 500 municipalities, including the Valencia capital which is one of the most important cities in Spain. The economic activity of the region is based on industry, tourism and a powerful agricultural sector that is important in the daily activity of the Valencians.
What to see? You will be able to spend holidays on the beach at any of its internationally known coastal municipalities or also spend free time in the inland municipalities. In almost all municipalities there are monuments of great value to the visitor.
What to eat? The paella is the star of the gastronomy of the region. Cooked differently in the various provinces, but keeping many of the elements that make it unique. Oranges are abundant the region.
Where to stay? You will have many options in the tourist cities along coast, while there are also some inland lodgings at your disposal.
How to reach? Valencia airport is the main routes of entry for tourists. The other is the road linking Madrid with the capital of the community. High speed trains also connects both capitals.
