Location: The autonomous community of Murcia is located to the southeast of the Iberian peninsula, right on the Mediterranean coast. It borders other communities such as Valencia, Andalusia and Castilla La Mancha.
Municipalities: It has 45 municipalities. The main two are the capital, Murcia, and Cartagena, the second largest city by number of inhabitants and by activity. Its strong points are the beaches and its good weather throughout the year.
What to see? Enjoy Murcia's good, warm temperatures throughout the year and the warm Mediterranean Sea. It also has a very rich culture since many civilizations such as the Romans and the Carthaginians chose the region as a center of activity.
What to eat? Murcia's gastronomy is influenced by their vegetable production and the influence of other regions such as Andalusia or Valencia. Their main dishes made with rice and fish.
Where to stay? Many tourists find their way here and there are a lot of options, including hotels and apartments on the coast.
How to get there? The main access road is through the highways and freeways that connect Murcia with other parts of the Iberian peninsula. You can also arrive by boat or by train. There is a good bus service.
